Location: Cornwall
Perfect for: Art-lovers by the sea
Known as the jewel of Cornwall’s crown, St Ives is one of the most beautiful destinations in the UK, and the kind of place you never want to leave. Curving around the pretty harbour, the town is filled with cobbled streets, independent shops, restaurants and galleries, and offers some spectacular coastal views. Its climate also benefits from the warmth of the Gulf Stream, and St Ives itself has five fantastic beaches boasting pale sands, sparkling turquoise waters, and some of the best surf around. Loved by artistic greats such as Barbara Hepworth and Ben Nicholson, St Ives also has a wonderfully artistic vibe to it, not to mention two brilliant galleries – The Tate St. Ives and the Hepworth Gallery.
Overview
Blue Moon is bijou St Ives at its best. Small but perfectly formed with the call of the sea just on your door step. This stylish little cottage is a perfect getaway for couples and combines beachside chill-out with a little bit of London class.
Relax downstairs beneath the Bridget Bardot on the wrap-around sofa and sheepskin throws in the uber-cool open plan living room and kitchen area, with flat screen TV. Just opposite the bottom of the stairs is the wonderfully decadent shower room with rainforest shower.
Upstairs, the main bedroom fetaures a custom built super king bed, small built-in wardrobe and another flat screen TV. However here it’s all about the space above you, as the ceiling has been opened right up to the rafters! Next door in the ‘dressing room’ there is further storage and a funky stainless steel, six foot long custom built desk, which with the addition of a cushion can be used as an extra crash spot!
