Overview
Set in the picturesque village of West Hoathly, the Cat Inn is a 16th century free house with four premium-end bedrooms kitted out with King sized Vi Spring double beds with Egyptian Cotton and Hungarian goose down duvets, and ensuite bathrooms.
If you are looking for an authentic Olde English pub-stay experience, you’ll find it here. A traditional English Inn since the 1450s, it has lots of nooks and crannies that ooze character and soul. Its staff are friendly, fun and professional, and their ‘raison d’etre’ is enjoying seeing guests happy.
Oak beams, inglenook fireplaces and a warm and cosy atmosphere make it a welcoming weekend getaway in the winter, whilst its terrace offers a quiet sunny spot to enjoy good food and a drink in the summer months.
Experience Quality Real Ale
Being a ‘free house’, Cat Inn prides itself in the quality of its real ale and concentrate on local breweries such as Harvey’s of Lewes and other micro breweries. Real cider for Hertfordshire is available on draught and it offers an extensive wine list for wines available by the bottle or by the glass. Try their English sparkling wine – it’s delicious.
Seasonal menus
The food is cooked to order using fresh, seasonal and – where possible – locally sourced ingredients. Its menus change on a regular basis and it also offers a small selection of seasonal specials on a daily basis.
