Standing on the original site of Mr Lord’s cricket ground, Dorset Square Hotel’s bold style, good food and sophisticated comfort might just bowl you over… We make note of the seamstress mannequin and wonder if we’ll dress it up later.

There’s a door to one side marked ‘Hotel’ but finding it locked, we have to elbow our way through the drinkers to the bar to enquire where to check in.
